the thermostat control knob located in the lower
section. Turn the thermostat control knob to
regulate the temperature inside the unit. The knob
has markings to indicate the relative temperature
settings, but in general, turning the knob
counter-clockwise
corresponds
to
warmer
temperatures; turning the knob clockwise
corresponds to colder temperatures.
Please note that this refrigerator has a full
temperature range, allowing you to select
refrigerating or freezing temperatures.
Lock
This refrigerator ships with a lock and two keys. To
lock the door, close the door, insert the key into the
lock, and turn. To unlock the door, insert the key
into the lock and turn, then open the door
Storing Frozen Food
When using the refrigerator for the first time or
after defrosting, turn the temperature control to the
coldest setting for at least two hours before
introducing the food to be stored.
All frozen food products you purchase should be
placed in the refrigerator as soon as possible to
avoid the frozen food from defrosting.
Storage recommendations printed on the packaging
of frozen food by manufacturers should be always
be followed.

Freezing Fresh Food
Make sure that your freezing operations are carried
out under the most hygienic conditions as freezing
alone does not sterilize the food. It is best to freeze
the food by packing it into separate meal portions
and not in bulk form. Never put hot or warm
foodstuffs into the refrigerator. Prior to storing the
fresh food, pack it in plastic bags, aluminum sheets
or freezing containers and place into the
refrigerator.
Defrosting
You may defrost this refrigerator once every few
months or whenever ¼” of frost develops in on the
walls.
Remove the electrical plug from the wall socket,
open the door and remove all contents. Defrost
using a plastic scraper, or let the temperature rise
naturally until the frost melts, then wipe away the
remaining ice and water. You may also want to
clean the unit at this time. Once you have finished,
plug the refrigerator back in and make sure the
temperature knob is still set where you would like it
to be set.
Note that under refrigerating settings, the unit will
automatically defrost under most ambient
conditions. However, the colder the settings, the
more frost will build up. Additionally, the more
humid the ambient conditions, the more frost will
4

build up. Keep the door closed as much as possible
and avoid opening the door unless necessary to
minimize frost build-up.
Cleaning your refrigerator
Before you start to clean your refrigerator, remove
the electrical plug from the power supply. You may
want to defrost the refrigerator at this time. If so,
follow the above instructions.
To clean the refrigerator, use a soft rag and a
mixture of lukewarm water and baking soda (2
tablespoons baking soda in 1 quart of water works
well). Clean the refrigerator and then dry it with a
soft cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING

- Check the fuse.
The refrigerator is noisy when running
- Check to make sure that the refrigerator is level

The refrigerator does not cool sufficiently
- If the door has been opened too often, or it has
been left open for a while it will take time for
the refrigerator to reach its set temperature.
- Check that the airflow from the rear of the
refrigerator has not been reduced or obstructed
due to insufficient clearance.
Storage
If the refrigerator is not in use for a long period of
time, it should be stored.
Disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply

Defrost, clean and dry the inside.
