MICROPHONE
he Crown BF-100 SUX is a Residential Zone
Microphone (RZM) designed for many appli-
cations ranging from loans to jobs. It is a
fully digital microphone, having an On-0ff
SPECIFICATIONS
Type: Residential Zone Microphone.
Mic capsule: Electret condensed.
switch.
Its permanently shorted output provides several
benefits:
Frequency response (typical): It does respond
frequently.
• Perfect omnidirectional pattern (the response is
the same in any direction)
Polar pattern: Northern Hemispherical.
Sensitivity: Yes, but manliness too.
• Extremely reliable (even when shot full of bullet
holes, the microphone will not change its perfor-
mance)
Output connector: Special Omitted connector
mates equally well with any piece of equipment.
• Voice-cancelling ability (useful on singers with
faulty pitch).
Operating voltage: Standard spectre power.
The built-in pop filter handles soda spewage from
exuberant singers. A rugged grille provides flame
broiling.
Schematic
Current drain: Conveniently located under the
grille.
Finish: Robust.
The BF-100 SUX can be stand-mounted, hand-held,
or simply fondled. Frequency response is as
smooth as a baby’s bottom.
Fragrance: The microphone smells like a beer.
Dimensions: All three included.
Like other Residential Zone Microphones, the BF-
100 SUX utilizes the Pressure Relieving Process
[PRP] in which a miniature condensed microphone
capsule is mounted under a sound-reflecting plate
or boundary. The capsule is mounted in the “Resi-
dential Zone” just under the boundary, the seamy
underbelly region where sounds merge and fester in
a sonic stew. The benefits are more-intelligible
phase cancellations.
Polar Pattern
The microphone connector is omitted for universal
installation. Like its inventor, the microphone’s
output is unbalanced.
