IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS  
This electrical appliance must always be used according to the following  
safety instructions.  
Save these instructions as this manual contains important safety and  
operating information.  
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be  
followed, including the following:  
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE  
1. Read all instructions before using this Heater.  
2. This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin  
touch hot surfaces. Use grip handle when provided.  
3. Keep combustible materials such as drapes, furniture, pillows, bedding,  
paper, clothes, and curtains at least three (3) feet (0.9m) from the front  
of Heater and away from its sides and rear.  
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used by or near  
children, invalids or pets and whenever the Heater is left in operation  
and unattended.  
5. Always unplug Heater when not in use. To disconnect the Heater turn  
controls OFF first, then remove the plug from the outlet.  
6. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the  
Heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.  
Return Heater to manufacturer for examination, electrical or mechanical  
adjustment, or repair. (See Warranty for information.)  
7. Do not use outdoors.  
8. This product is not to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas, or other  
similar indoor locations. Never locate Heater where it may fall into a  
bathtub or other water container.  
9. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs,  
runners or the like. Arrange cord away from area where it will not be  
tripped over.  
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust  
opening as this may cause electric shock or fire, or damage the Heater.

11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any  
manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may  
become blocked.  
12. A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in  
areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.  
13. Use this Heater only as directed in this manual, Any other use not  
recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or  
injury to persons.  
14. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may  
overheat and cause risk of fire. However, if you must use an extension  
cord, the cord shall be #14 AWG minimum size and rated not less than  
1875 watts.  
15. If the Heater will not operate: See specific instructions on Auto Safety  
Shut Off.  
16. Do not place the Heater on an uneven or small surface which might  
allow it to tip or fall.  
17. Do not operate the Heater with Heater Guards removed.  
18. The Heater must be 12 inches (300mm) distance away from the wall or  
other objects.  
19. This Heater may includes a visual alarm to warm that parts of the Heater  
are getting excessively hot. If the alarm flashes, immediately turn the  
Heater OFF and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the Heater that  
may cause high temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE  
RED SAFETY LIGHT FLASHING .

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS  
CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This Heater generates heat during use. Proper  
precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires or other  
injury to persons or damage to property.  
CAUTION: This Heater is hot during operation and retains heat for some time  
after turning OFF. Do not place anything on top of the Heater while it is  
operating or while it is hot.  
1. A person who has not read and understood all operating and safety  
instructions is not qualified to operate this Heater. All users of this  
Heater must read and understand this Owner’s Manual before operating  
or cleaning this Heater.  
2. Unplug Heater from outlet and allow to cool before attempting to  
store unit.  
3. The cord to this Heater should be plugged into a 120V AC electrical  
outlet only.  
4. Do not use this Heater in a garage.  
5. When using this Heater, provide adequate air space above and on all  
sides for air circulation. Do not operate this Heater while it is touching  
or near curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dish towels or other  
flammable materials.  
6. Use this Heater only on a level surface.  
7. Do not operate Heater when the Red Safety Light is flashing.  
Polarized Plug  
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To  
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized  
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the  
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to  
modify the plug in any way.  
Electric Power  
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance  
may not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical  
circuit from other appliances.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME  
Your WST6004 Upright Heater is designed for space heating or as a  
supplementary heat source. It is not intended to be the main source of heat.  
NOTE: Make sure the Heater Dial is in the  
OFF position before operating.  
1. Place your Heater on a level, stable surface. It is recommended that the  
Heater be placed on the floor, where it can keep the lower level of the  
room warm. Be sure the sides and back of the Heater are at least 3 feet  
away from any combustible materials. DO NOT COVER the Air Intake or  
the Front Safety Grill.  
2. Plug the Upright Heater into a 120V AC electrical outlet.  
3. There are 3 settings on the Heater Dial:  
Fan / Breeze Fan only LO Heat / 750 Watts HI Heat /1500 watts  
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS  
Setting the Thermostat for Heat  
1. When heating a cold area in the room, first turn the Thermostat Dial to  
the MAX position.  
2. Next, turn the Heater Dial to either LO or HI Heat.  
3. The amber Power ON/OFF Light will illuminate when you turn the  
Heater/Fan Dial from the OFF position. The Fan will begin to rotate.  
Silent Heat Technology™ means your Heater will quietly and efficiently  
heat your area.  
4. When the desired temperature is reached, turn the Thermostat Dial  
counter-clockwise to a lower setting until the Fan turns itself OFF.  
5. The temperature is now pre-set.  
6. When you are finished using the Upright Heater, turn the Heater/Fan  
Dial to the OFF position. The amber Power Light will turn off. Rotate  
the Thermostat Dial to the minimum setting, and unplug from the  
electrical outlet.  
NOTE: The Heater will cycle ON and OFF to maintain this temperature.  
This is normal.  
NOTE: To prevent the Heater from cycling, turn the Thermostat Dial to a  
lower setting.

WARNING: The red Safety Light will serve as a visual alarm to alert you that  
the thermal cut-off is broken. At this time, the Heater will turn itself OFF.  
If both the red and the amber Lights are illuminated, immediately turn the  
Heater/Fan Dial to the OFF position, turn the Thermostat Dial to MIN and  
unplug the cord from the electrical outlet. (See Auto Safety Shut Off  
section of this manual for more information.)  
Setting the Thermostat for Breeze Fan Only  
1. You may use your Heater Fan to create a comfortable breeze by  
circulating air only. When using the Fan, first turn the Thermostat Dial  
to the MAX position.  
2. Next, turn the Heater Dial to Fan.  
3. The amber Power ON/OFF Light will illuminate when you turn the  
Heater Dial from the OFF position. The Fan will begin to rotate.  
Silent Heat Technology™ means your Heater will quietly and efficiently  
provide a cool and comfortable breeze to your area.  
4. When the desired temperature is reached, turn the Thermostat Dial  
counter-clockwise to a lower setting until the Fan turns itself OFF.  
5. The temperature is now pre-set.  
6. When you are finished using the Upright Heater, turn the Heater/Fan  
Dial to the OFF position, turn the Thermostat Dial to the minimum  
setting, and unplug from the electrical outlet.  
NOTE: The Heater will cycle ON and OFF to maintain this temperature.  
This is normal.  
NOTE: To prevent the Heater from cycling, turn the Thermostat Dial to a  
lower setting.

Frost Watch  
If your Heater is plugged in and in operation and set at the lowest setting  
(the Heater/Fan Dial set to LOW and the Thermostat Dial set to MIN) the  
Heater will remain OFF unless the temperature drops below 41ºF. At 41ºF  
the Heater will automatically turn ON and will cycle ON and OFF to keep the  
area at a constant temperature.  
Auto Safety Shut Off  
When the temperature rises to an unsafe level, usually due to an obstruction  
of the Front Safety Grill or Air Intake, the red Safety Light will illuminate and  
the Heater will turn itself OFF. Immediately turn the Fan Dial to the OFF  
position, turn the Thermostat Dial to LOW. Remove the plug from the outlet  
and allow the Heater to cool for 30 minutes. If necessary, remove the object  
causing the problem; then plug into the outlet and turn the Heater/Fan Dial.  
If the Heater’s red Safety Light is still illuminated, call Consumer Service for  
authorization for return or repair.  
DO NOT USE A MALFUNCTIONING HEATER.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS  
This Upright Heater is not user serviceable. There are no user serviceable  
parts inside the unit. Servicing by our Authorized Service Center is required  
to avoid damage to internal components.  
Cleaning  
Always turn the Heater/Fan Dial to the OFF position, turn the Thermostat  
Dial to LOW and unplug from the electrical outlet before cleaning your  
Heater. Accumulated dust may be removed from the Heater with a soft cloth  
or vacuum cleaner using the dusting brush attachment. Interior dust can  
often be removed by using a vacuum cleaner in its blower mode with a  
crevice attachment.  
Your Upright Heater may also be cleaned with a cloth that has been  
moistened with a solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the outside of  
the unit thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth before operating.  
CAUTION: DO NOT immerse Heater in water or allow water to drip into the  
Heater housing, as this could create an electric shock hazard.  
NEVER use gasoline, benzene, thinner, etc., as these chemicals will  
damage the unit.  
Storage  
1. Allow Heater to cool before storage. Never store the Heater while it is  
hot or still plugged in.  
2. Gather the cord in loops and secure with a twist tie to store. Never let  
the power cord come in contact with sharp edges or get compressed by  
heavy objects.  
3. Never wrap cord tightly around appliance. Do not put any stress on cord  
where it enters the unit, as this could cause cord to fray and break.  
4. Store the Heater in its box or in a clean, dry place.

LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY  
Warranty Coverage: This product is warranted to be free from defects in materials or  
workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date. This product warranty is  
extended only to the original consumer purchaser of the product and is not transferable. For a period  
of one (1) year from the date of original purchase of the product, our Repair Center will, at its  
option, either (1) repair the product or (2) replace the product with a reconditioned comparable  
model. These remedies are the purchaser's exclusive remedies under this warranty.

1-800-233-9054 for return instructions on how to deliver the product, in either the original  
packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection to the Repair Center specified  
below. You must enclose a copy of your sales receipt or other proof of purchase to demonstrate  
eligibility for warranty coverage.

What Is Not Covered: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accident,  
commercial use, improper service or any other damage caused by anything other than defects in  
material or workmanship during ordinary consumer use. This warranty is invalid if the serial number  
has been altered or removed from the product. This warranty is valid only in the United States  
and Canada.  
LIMITATION ON DAMAGES: THERE SHALL BE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR  
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION

LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A  
PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE ON THIS PRODUCT ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION  
OF THIS WARRANTY.  
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,  
or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions  
may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights  
under the laws of your jurisdiction.
