USING THE FABRIC STEAMER
FILLING WATER TANK AND WATER RESERVOIR
IMPORTANT: Always make sure that Lighted On/Off Switch is set to “Off”
position and unit is unplugged before attempting to fill Water Tank
1. Remove Water Tank from main unit.
2. Holding Water Tank upside-down, unscrew and remove Valve Cap by rotating it
in a counter-clockwise direction (FIGURE 10).
3. Fill Water Tank with water through Valve Cap Hole. Refer to guidelines on left
side of Water Tank to fill it with correct amount of water, depending on desired
steam time (15, 30, or 45 minutes). Do not exceed 45 MIN (40 oz.) mark.
NOTE: To prolong life of unit, it is recommended that you use distilled or de-
mineralized water in Water Tank. Do not attempt to substitute another water
tank for the one designed for use with this unit.
4. Replace Valve Cap by rotating it in a clockwise direction.
5. Place Water Tank back onto main unit (FIGURE 11). The sound of water flowing
from Water Tank into Water Reservoir should be audible for a short period of
time.
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to operate Fabric Steamer with an empty

USING THE FABRIC STEAMER
OPERATING THE FABRIC STEAMER
1. Make sure that Water Tank is filled with water and placed correctly onto main
unit, and that Fabric Brush is securely attached if you wish to use it.
2. Plug power cord into a convenient 3-prong electrical outlet (FIGURE 12).
3. Switch Lighted On/Off Switch to “On” position (FIGURE 13).
4. Unit requires approximately 35-40 seconds for boiler to heat. Once it has heated,
Fabric Steamer will begin producing a flow of steam.
NOTE: It is common for unit to produce gurgling sounds and small amounts
of water during the first few minutes of steaming. This is a natural part of the
steaming process. Pointing Steam Nozzle towards the ground and shaking it
gently may help to remove excess water from Steam Hose more quickly
(FIGURE 14).
5. Once steam flow is steady and excess water has been removed from Steam Hose,
you may proceed with your steaming tasks. Refer to Tips for Using the
Fabric Steamerguide on page 12 of this manual for more information about
steaming garments and other fabrics.
6. When you have completed your steaming tasks, immediately switch Lighted
On/Off Switch to “Off” position and unplug power cord from electrical outlet.
Refer to Proper Storage section on page 13 of this manual for information on
proper cleaning and storage of Fabric Steamer.

TIPS FOR USING THE FABRIC STEAMER
STEAMING GARMENTS
1. Place garment on a clean, rust-free clothes hanger.
2. Place hanger (with garment) on Clothes Hanger
Hook (FIGURE 15).
CAUTION: Use care when handling garments on
the Clothes Hanger Hook. Pulling on the garment
with too much force may cause the unit to tip over.
FIGURE 15
3. Grasp Handle, and direct Steam Nozzle towards
bottom of garment. Steam will rise along inside and
outside of fabric, removing wrinkles. Slowly slide
Steam Nozzle vertically, from bottom to top of
garment (FIGURE 16).
NOTE: Do not allow kinks to form in hose at any
time during use.
4. Direct Steam Nozzle away from garment and
smooth fabric with your free hand.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as necessary until fabric is
smooth and wrinkle free.
FIGURE 16
OTHER STEAMING TIPS
- Curtains and draperies may be steamed while still hanging.
- To remove wrinkles from towels, handkerchiefs and napkins, drape them over a
rod or towel rack and gently steam them.
- Heavier fabrics may require repeated steaming to effectively remove wrinkles.
- To remove exceptionally stubborn wrinkles steam both sides of fabric.
- For additional assistance in removing tough wrinkles, or to remove lint and other
particles, attach Fabric Brush to Steam Nozzle (see Attaching the Fabric Brush
section on page 8 of this manual).
- Use Press Pad in order to steam difficult spots and edges and to create creases in
fabric. Slide your hand through the velcro strap on back of Press Pad to secure it
to your hand. This will protect your hand from the flow of hot steam. Then steam
fabric while pressing it firmly but gently against the Press Pad.

CARE AND STORAGE GUIDELINES
PROPER STORAGE
Preparing your Fabric Steamer for storage is quick and simple. When you have
finished your steaming tasks, follow the steps listed below.
1. Set On/Off Switch to “Off” position, and unplug grounded power cord from
electrical outlet.
2. Allow unit to cool completely.
3. Remove Water Tank from unit and unscrew Valve Cap to drain remaining
water into sink or tub.
4. Remove Drain Plug and drain any remaining water in Water Reservoir into a
sink or tub to prevent overfilling during your next use. Flush out Water
Reservoir with fresh water to minimize potential mineral build-up in Water
Reservoir. Replace empty Water Tank.
5. Loosen two ridged knobs on Telescopic Pole, and press down on Pole Top to
collapse Pole into compact storage position.
6. Store Fabric Steamer in a cool, dry place.
REMOVING MINERAL BUILD-UP
A common problem with steam appliances is mineral build-up caused by high
mineral content in many municipal water supplies.
The best way to avoid this is to use de-mineralized or distilled water in unit.
If you are unable to use de-mineralized or distilled water, we recommend you
use this procedure monthly to help avoid mineral build-up:
1. Unplug power cord from electrical outlet and allow unit to completely cool.
2. Remove Water Tank from unit and drain it into sink or tub.
3. Remove Drain Plug and drain water from Water Reservoir into sink or tub.
4. Using measuring cup (not included), make a mixture of 10oz. vinegar and
10oz. water.
5. Slowly pour water-vinegar solution into Water Reservoir.
6. Allow to stand for 40 minutes.
7. Drain water-vinegar solution from Water Reservoir.
8. Rinse Water Reservoir with fresh water, drain and repeat until vinegar odor
dissipates.
9. Replace empty Water Tank.
