How to Use the  
Sync Radio Receiver  
Connecting Antenna  
To use the optional built-in sync radio receiver  
the antenna first has to be connected. When  
inserting the antenna to the generator socket,  
insertitstraightintothesocketandpushtheplug  
all the way in.When the antenna is connected  
thebuilt-inphotocellwillbedisabled.  
RadioReceiver  
The optional built-in sync radio receiver is  
available in 315 Mhz (Japan), 344 MHz (USA)  
and433MHz(Europe).Theyarecompatiblewith  
allPocketWizardTransmittersandTransceivers  
working on the same frequency! The Radio  
module built-into the generator is a learning  
PocketWizardReceiverwith32channels.  
To teach the generator a receive Channel  
and Zone* followthese steps:  
• Selectthedesiredchannelandzoneona  
PocketWizard(Transmitterortransceiver).  
• Poweroffthegeneratorand wait5seconds.  
• Poweronthegenerator.  
NOTICE Pleasemakesuretousethefrequencyallowedinyourcountry.  
• Within30 seconds, pressandholdthe  
PocketWizardTransmitterTESTbutton  
(upto4seconds)untilflashtriggers.If  
usinga Sekonicmeterwithradiomodule  
asatransmitter,press the measurebutton  
repeatedlywithinthe 30secondlearning  
period until the flash triggers.  
Theradioreceiverhasalearningfunctionwhich  
meansthatduring30secondsfrompoweron,  
it will try to detect a trigger signal on any of  
the 32 channels.If a trigger signal is detected,  
the radio receiver will lock to that channel.  
If no trigger is detected, the radio receiver  
will default to the previously used channel. Example:
